Introducing our Camp Director: Annalee ⭐️

If you’ve been around VeryVera Camp for a while, you’ve probably seen this smiling face helping out at the cottage! Anna Lee has been with us since she was a pre-beginner camper all the way through to camp counselor in her high school days. This summer, we’re excited to have her return as Camp Director!

Anna Lee will be joining us after finishing her second year at the University of Georgia where she is majoring in biology.

A note from Annalee:
“Hey Y’all! My name is Annalee McGowan! I was a camper at VeryVera cooking camp for 3 years and have been a counselor for 5 years! I am a second year student at the University of Georgia majoring in Biology! I am super excited to welcome all of our campers this summer! As the camp director, I am dedicated to making sure each and every camper have the BEST time at cooking camp this summer!!” ☀️

2023 marks 20 years of VeryVera Camp. 🎉 We’ve got lots of fun activities and additions to the curriculum you know and love! This year, campers will learn how to prep ingredients, bake, cook, set the table, craft, and key elements of home management and entrepreneurship as are age appropriate!

One of the things that makes VeryVera Camp so spec

One of the things that makes VeryVera Camp so special, is just how long it can stay part of our camper’s lives. The long term goal is for our campers to stick with us through Advanced Classes and then go on to become counselors and help run camp themselves!

Campers can interview to be counselors at 14 (which is younger than most jobs), and a select few might just go on to become Camp director one day!
