Welcome to VeryVera Cooking Camp!

VeryVera Cooking Campers spend 5 days learning about food, getting hands-on in the kitchen, packaging their treats, and learning entrepreneurship in the process. Practicing and understanding the importance of etiquette and teamwork are incorporated into the daily activities.

Our mission to develop culinary skills, etiquette and a sense of home economics in the next generation.

Vera Stewart’s love of teaching started when she graduated from the University of Georgia in 1974 with a degree in Home Economics Education. It continued through a successful catering and mail order career when in 2004, VeryVera Cooking Camp was founded. For 16 years, VeryVera Cooking Camp has provided a unique summer camp experience for children ages 6-14 in Augusta, GA. We launched our first franchise programs in summer 2017 and in 2019 we held locations in:

  • Augusta, GA
  • Aiken, SC
  • Macon, GA
  • Beaufort, SC
  • Indianapolis, IN
  • Charleston, SC

Registration for our Saturday Camps is now open!

Abigail and Rebecca had a wonderful week at cooking camp! Thank you so much for everything! They are excited to make something from the Hershey bag. They started planning as soon as we got in the car. The banquet was amazing, very impressed! Looking forward to next year!

Each summer we travel from Acworth, GA, staying with family in North Augusta, so that Aiden can attend VeryVera Cooking Camp. This is the camp around which we plan our entire summer. I consider us to be camp connoisseurs as we have participated in many, many camps, but this one is especially valuable. It is especially awesome that the week culminates in a luncheon where each child invites a guest to see and to taste all he/she has learned throughout the week. Aiden has had nothing but good experiences with the staff who are of the highest character and who provide extensive direction and support. I am abundantly thankful for this really special camp and the people who make it possible. We are already looking forward to next summer.

Thanks again! We’ll see you next summer!
