February has been a lovely month here at The Cottage! We have 175 campers registered for the summer, meaning we only have 17 openings. If you have not registered, spots are going quickly! I thoroughly enjoyed attending camp, and it is so exciting to see so many new and returning campers being registered.
Our first Saturday camps of the year were a success! On February 4th and 11th, we welcomed campers back for our VeryVera Valentine Saturday Camps. In the kitchen, many sweet treats and happy memories were made! Our Potato Herb Soup from the VeryVera Cookbook was a hit with many campers. This creamy and delicious soup is sure to warm you up on a chilly day. Campers also enjoyed Strawberry Cream Cheese Pastry Hearts, Kitchen Sink Cookies, Chocolate-Covered Strawberries, and an Ice Cream Charcuterie Board.
In the craft rooms, we made a festive Valentine’s Wreath – a wonderful gift or perfect to hang on your front door. Campers also made a festive trail mix and decorated bags to take it home in. We also loved setting our tables with beautiful Hester & Cook products. We are so thankful for their sponsorship!
